The Bravest Knight a tale of Education

Hulu is launching a new children´s TV show entitle The Bravest Knight, and will be the first to feature a same-sex couple, a gay couple to be precise, as their main characters.

Based on Daniel Errico’s Children’s book, “The Bravest Knight Who Ever Lived”, follows to story of Sir Cedric and his husband Prince Andrew plus their adopted daughter Nia and their friend the troll Grunt.

Set to air on Hulu in June, the animation features voices by TR Knight (Sir Cedric), Wilson Cruz (Prince Andrew), Storm Reid (Nia) and Bobby Moynihan (troll Grunt). RuPaul will also give voice to one character that will make appearance during the recount of his journey by Sir Cedric to his daughter, from a humble pumpkin farmer to a knight who slays dragons and uses ethic and compassion to fight evil and marrying the prince of his dreams.

When it comes to television shows aimed at younger audiences, LGBT+ characters and themes are largely excluded from narrative, however The Bravest Knight adaptation wishes to change that and promote inclusion in children’s TV shows and animations.
