MADO (Madrid Orgullo or Madrid Pride) is the biggest Pride Event of Europe, with around 3 million annual attendees. From June 28 to July 7, the event will have 6 open-air stages with different concerts, festivals, art, culture and sports across the city of Madrid.
This year, one of the stages will be dedicated to Portugal and all its artists. Entitled Proudly Portugal Festival, this stage will be on the Plaza Pedro Zerolo on the 4 of July from 8 pm to 11 pm.

This initiative is being promoted by Variações (Variations) – Commerce and LGBTI Tourism Association of Portugal, the organization responsible to implement the first campaign of promotion for the LGBTI Tourism in Portugal, called “Proudly Portugal ”, from where the name of the stage was inspired.
The main goal is to give immediate visibility of Portugal and all its LGBTI Tourism at the Spanish market and the entire international community that is visiting Madrid during this event. During a time Variações, ILGA Portugal and Rede Ex Aequo are promoting Portugal for the EuroPride 2022.
This is the first time our Country will be represented on a grand scale event, specially on the Madrid Pride festival, being present on the main schedule and having its own stage. Making it possible to give even more visibility to the Queer artists that are slowly growing on the national and international market.
